Comments Draft Guidelines on internal governance
The European Banking Authority (EBA) has issued a proposal to revise its guidelines on internal covernance under Directive 2013/36/EU (EBA/CP/2020/20), on which the German Banking Industry Committee (GBIC) has issued a statement. It considers amendments to the Governance Guidelines to bring them into line with the current legal conditions to be reasonable and comprehensible. In several places, however, GBIC criticizes that the consultation paper goes beyond the level 1 requirements and therefore proposes various adjustments.
